Boston Day 4 (Salem)

On our fourth day we rode the Salem Ferry over to Salem Mass. to explore the witches, ha! We loved Salem, it was a cute quiet little historic town. We rode the trolley all over the city and saw lots of cool architecture and learned lots of fun stuff about the early settlers.

The Salem Ferry
The view of Boston as we ferried out from the wharf
We ate lunch at Red's Sandwich Shop, supposedly the early political types would meet there every day and discuss the politics of the day.
One of the headstones we saw in one of the many cemeteries. I thought it was cool cause it says that this person was a pilgrim that came over on the Mayflower.

The stocks!

This is inside the Witch Wax Museum, this statue used to be displayed out in the city but was brought into the museum for display.
Roger Conant, the founder of Salem. People thought that he was a witch because of his stature. He does look like a tall, looming and dark kind of guy.
We watched a presentation at the Salem Witch Museum.
This is the Witch museum, pretty cool building.

Our trolley that we rode all over Salem all day!! You buy a ticket for the whole day and then you can ride it all around town and hop on and off as you please. It was pretty fun.
Cool house
America's first candy store. I thought it was pretty sweet, ha!
Nathaniel Hawthorne's birthplace
House of seven gables, we didn't take the tour but walked around the outside, it is a very pretty house facing right out into the ocean, very cool.
