Tributes came from President Thomas S. Monson, who served as the First Counselor in the First Presidency, and also President Henry B. Eyring, former Second Counselor. A tribute was also issued from the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. President Thomas S. Monson: “It was my privilege to know and love President Hinckley long before either of us was called to the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles or the First Presidency. Through the years I have sat next to him, have served with him and have learned from him. I am a witness to his prophetic calling. “President Hinckley was prodigious in his work ethic and was totally dedicated to the gospel of Jesus Christ. He was a friend to one and all and a leader who inspired spirituality. His outreach on an international scale was unprecedented. He was truly a prophet for our time. Like the Master, he devoted his life to doing good, and God was surely with him. His life was a gift to the world.” President Henry B. Eyring: “President Hinckley had the gift to make people want to do better and to feel that they could. Last Tuesday I sat in a meeting with him as he considered and then decided matters of great importance, some about individuals and some affecting the entire Church. He was pleasant, incisive, and clearly inspired. For me, he raised the standard of what it is to be a disciple of Jesus Christ, giving all.” The Quorum of the Twelve Apostles: “Members of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles express our heartfelt love and admiration for President Gordon B. Hinckley and the singular life of service he lived. He was our prophet, our leader, our brother and our friend. We feel a deep, personal loss at his passing. He unfailingly demonstrated his devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ, whose witness he was at home and abroad. “We will miss his wit and his wisdom, his leadership and his love. However, we cannot but rejoice in his reunion with his beloved Marjorie, with his parents and other family members who have gone before, and with the prophets of God, both ancient and modern, among whose eternal ranks he now stands. As the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles we echo the voice of the Master, ‘Well done, thou good and faithful servant. … Enter into the joy of thy Lord.’ ”

Ridiculously Expensive!
Travis just started a new semester of school this month and he had to buy books for all of his classes. As I am sure most of you know what this means! You better pull out that money honey! Of course the professors have to all use new editions....so that means you can not buy the books used...you have to get the new copies, which of course are outrageously priced!

My 24th!
One more attempt to get this posting thing down! Travis took me to the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway for my big 24th birthday (I am getting old) seems like yesterday I was so badly wanting to be 18. Anyways, the tram takes us up like 6000 feet it was awesome, scary, but awesome.
Hmmmm...
Am I an idiot or what? I don't understand how my posts and pics always turn out to look so dumb! What am I doing wrong? I write some text and then I put in a pic to go along with it but somehow it always turns out wrong and looks totally not the way I want it to! I am getting sooooo frustrated with it! Do you know something I don't? Any help would be appreciated Thanks!
Finally Moved!

We love to TRAVEL!

We had our first major international trip in Dec. of 2006. For Christmas we went with my family to London and Norway for 10 days! It was so awesome! I loved it! We only got a couple of days in London though, I totally need to go back. To the left is a couple of photos we took while in Norway and one from London!
So last year we spent our anniversary at the Marriott villa in Newport Beach and we bought a timeshare with them and we just booked our first vacation villa to PARIS for the first week of November!! I am soooo excited! It will be so fun, and since France is so close...we also booked a couple day trips to London and Brussels! I can't wait! I am totally counting down! We also booked a trip to New York for our anniversary this year! I have never been and Travis and I have always wanted to go! I can't wait to start our traveling this year! I need to buy new luggage! LOL! To the right is a photo of the villa in Paris France that we will be staying at!
Travis' 22nd Birthday!

Travis Just celebrated his 22nd Birthday! He has been training for his new job in Northern CA for the past month and a half...so I have not seen a lot of him lately. So I decided to make him a cake as a surprise when he finally came home!
I made and decorated it all by myself...I think it turned out pretty good for my first time! I have always wanted to take a cake decorating class, sounds so fun...maybe some day!
Quick Update!
Lots of new things have happened and are happening in the Tuckers lives! I have been working as a Substitute Teacher last year while also teaching piano lessons and starting to experiment with digital photography...which I am loving!
Travis just accepted a new job for the Loves company and we will be relocating to Palm desert area...which we are totally excited about! We are just waiting for an apt. to become available. Travis is also finishing up his AA degree...one step closer to a BA!
We got the chance to go up to Utah to spend time with Travis' family this Christmas which was really fun. We haven't had a chance to see his whole family in a while and it was nice to spend time with all of them!
