Nothing terribly exciting going on lately, just the same ol same ol stuff.
The only thing I can think of is our primary program is coming up and I have been the chorister this year so I am excited to see all my little ones sing their hearts out in a couple of weeks. Can't wait to see all the hard work pay off. I was the chorister before but we had two of us in the calling and we took turns so it was pretty easy. Doing it all by yourself is a little harder but I know the kids will do great and we will all feel so accomplished when its over. Then we get to start Thanksgiving songs and Christmas, YAY!
Besides that all we do is work, keep house and play when we can. Hopefully I can convince Travis to carve pumpkins this year! I LOVE October!

5 Years down!
After Spending the weekend up in Idaho with Travis' sister's family and attending Jaxson's farewell we decided to head back down to Park City Utah for our 5 year anniversary. We stayed at Westgate in The Canyons in Park City. Loved it! It is a super nice place to stay, in case you ever wander up that way.

Jaxson's Farewell
We started off on a long drive up to Idaho for our nephews mission farewell on Friday night after Travis got off work. We stopped at mom and dad Tuckers for the night, then headed over to the airport to pick up Travis' brother Taylor. Then we started to make our way up to Idaho. We got there Saturday night and had a great time hanging out with all the family, had a yummy dinner and played lots of fun games with all the nieces and nephews!

Crochet headbands
I have been thinking about what quick fun projects I could do with crochet because blankets take such a long time to finish. I saw some cute headbands and thought I would give it a try. So here is my first attempt at making one. Also thinking about all my nieces or any friends with little girls that might want some I could make some up and ship them out to ya! I am still adding to the headband and plan on making more tomorrow so I will update my blog when I get them done.

Spinach Salad
I recently rediscovered this super delicious salad that my mom makes. I made it over Easter weekend up in Utah while visiting the Tucker family and totally loved it! Some people were wanting the recipe so here it is...
2 bunches of spinach washed and stems removed
1 head of red leaf lettuce ripped into bite size pieces
3/4 lb. grated swiss cheese (I substitute mozzarella)
1 lb. bacon fried and crumbled
1 1/2 table spoon poppy seeds
3/4 cup red wine vinegar
1 1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup white sugar
1 1/2 table spoon white onion minced
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon wet or dry yellow mustard
1 red onion sliced into rings
1 lb. fresh mushrooms (the whiter the better)
To make the dressing:
Combine: sliced mushrooms, minced white onion, sliced red onion rings combine with poppy seeds, red wine vinegar, veg. oil, sugar, salt and mustard. Mix in Ziploc bag and let marinate in for at least 4 hours.
When ready to serve:
Combine spinach, red leaf lettuce pieces, fried and crumbled bacon and cheese with the wet dressing ingredients. Toss and serve.
Serves 15

Cute new blog and niece!
I am so excited and proud of my new blog! Thanks to my sister-in-law who is incredibly talented with HTML codes! She helped me pretty mine up! I love it!
Also she has been quite busy adding a new addition to the Tucker side of the family! Here is Amelia Rose Tucker! Love her! Wish we could see her in person and hold and love on her! Congrats to Tyson and Katie on their beautiful new addition!

Moving, yet again!
Still nothing to exciting to post about, the only thing that we have been focusing on is moving AGAIN, right down the street of course, so not to fun but maybe only one more summer in the desert (cross your fingers) Ha probably not! We have actually had an awesome winter this year, LOTS more rain than usual and alot cooler for alot longer, Yay!
It's been pretty busy with Travis' new work schedule and moving and Travis leaving on a business trip for a week all at the same time but hopefully things will start to settle down when he gets home and we can start working on unpacking and getting our new place together so it doesn't feel like we are living in a hotel.
We are beginning to HATE apartment life and hope to one day soon own our own place where no one can tell us what we can and can't do, where we can and can't park, and no one takes all your deposit money at the end of your lease for ridiculous reasons! I guess we just need to hang in there til we find a place we like and will be for a while at least then I can feel better about signing my life away on our own little piece of the world. But for now, we rent!
Ending on a positive note...I made delicious sugar cookies today! YUM!

Nothing much update
Hmmm...I have been totally MIA lately. Although nothing too exciting has been happening around here just normal everyday stuff.
The only really exciting thing that has happened is that Travis was promoted to General Manager of his store! Exciting but also alot of responsibility cleaning up after the old manager, but he seems to be liking it so far.
For the holidays this year we spent Thanksgiving with my family. We actually cooked dinner this year, we usually go out to eat but it was fun to cook all the yummy food. Then we went to the movie and saw Christmas Carol. For Christmas we were supposed to go and visit Travis' family but with his work situation we couldn't make it up there. So we are hoping to plan a weekend when we can make it up there. Lots of fun things going on this year in the Tucker family this year, babies and mission farewells so I am sure we will be up there plenty!
Hope you all had great Holidays and a Happy New Year!
